Students may earn college credit through the prior learning assessment process for life experience. This process includes completing a non-credit course, PLA-201 - Prior Learning Assessment, focusing on adult and experiential learning theory. Instructor guidance through this course will help you identify and evaluate prior learning experiences and outcomes leading to your successful completion of one portfolio. Your portfolio will be reviewed for college credit by a qualified St. Ambrose University faculty member.

The fees for this process include:

PLA-201 course No tuition fee (includes first portfolio)
Transcripting fee $30/credit awarded
Subsequent portfolios $100/portfolio + transcripting fee
