ACCEL Scholarship

The ACCEL Scholarship fund at St. Ambrose University has been established to assist degree-seeking ACCEL students. This scholarship is need-based and will be awarded in addition to the financial aid award. Applicant(s) will be selected by the ACCEL Program Scholarship Review Committee with assistance from the director of financial aid. Recipients must provide evidence they have demonstrated excellence in the classroom and support the mission of this institution. Click here to download the application in PDF format

• June 30 for anticipated fall, spring and summer award
• November 1 for  anticipated  spring and summer award

Eligibility

To be eligible for the ACCEL Scholarship, students must:

1. have completed a minimum of six credit hours in the ACCEL Program.
2. have a SAU GPA of 3.0 or better.
3. be fully admitted and currently enrolled in the St. Ambrose University, ACCEL Program.

Scholarship Awards

Based on availability of funds, one or more scholarships will be awarded.  Scholarship recipients of the June 30th deadline are awarded a maximum amount of $750 and recipients of the November 1st deadline are awarded a maximum amount of $500. Scholarships will be disbursed in $250 installments at the beginning of each semester (fall, spring and summer), provided the recipient remains enrolled in at least six credit hours each semester and maintains an SAU GPA of 3.0. Scholarships will be in addition to your financial aid award and may be used to cover the cost of tuition, fees, books or other expenses related to education.

Obligations of the Scholarship Recipient

If, after being awarded this scholarship, the recipient is unable to remain enrolled in the ACCEL Program or attendance is interrupted or delayed because of prolonged illness or injury, the recipient will notify the Scholarship Review Committee, and a decision will be made regarding the disbursement of the scholarship award.

Scholarship Decision Authority

The ACCEL Scholarship Review Committee with the assistance of the Director of Financial Aid will be the sole and final authority in determining the awarding of this scholarship.

The ACCEL Scholarship Review Committee will provide the donors with a summary of the funds awarded and related academic progress of the recipients following each award period.
