Teaches technical principles of painting, while integrating color theory and value. Teaches drawing with focus on comparative measurement, perspective and value in drawing. While emphasizing these fundamentals, continually references art history, contemporary artists, current art books and magazines and film, as well maintaining engaging discussion in topical socio-political issues. Teaching students to see and think critically about their work.
