The St. Ambrose University Occupational Therapy Department is proud to have a practical assistive technology program that is a resource for students, healthcare providers, clinicians, teachers, potential clients, caregivers and community members — to help them serve others in need by improving function in their life roles. This includes Jim’s Place, a home showcasing adaptations for independent living.
Potential clients, caregivers, students and healthcare professionals can visit the assistive technology solutions house by appointment.
Assistive Technology services offered to healthcare providers, students and individuals include direct service, consultation and a lending library.
The assistive technology lab is a center for education, information and resources.
