While all professionals – whatever their field – need good communication skills, the Communication Department specifically prepares students for careers in electronic and print media; public relations and strategic communication; and in creative agencies.
Our media labs feature professional equipment larger schools would envy.
During your final semester you will take an integrative capstone course in which you will apply your knowledge and skills to a substantial project like a campaign for a community organization or a documentary video.
Our graduates have told us that their capstone project portfolios tipped the scales in their favor when competing for jobs – in advertising, broadcasting, journalism and public relations – against graduates of other institutions.
