Our faculty sets the program apart from any other university; they hold PhDs and also have worked in law enforcement.
Students will study with and learn from faculty who have worked in corrections and are currently working in corrections. Because of this experience, students receive a balanced mix of both theory and practical applications of crime control, treatment, and corrections.
And is it community connections you seek? Through close advising relationships, our faculty use their connections to employers in the area, allowing our students to pursue internship experiences and eventually find job placements.
There's also opportunities every year to conduct undergraduate research. Read about it
