Dr. Bereskin has been on the faculty of St Ambrose University for over twenty-five years. His primary teaching area has been the advanced theory classes in the economics department and the economics and finance courses in the MBA program.

Prior to joining St Ambrose, Professor Bereskin had his own consulting firm, worked for Chase Econometrics, Inc. and spent a decade as Economist and Manager of Economic and Financial Analysis for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company. While at the AT&SF, he did economic forecasting of general economic activity, regulatory analysis, and forecasting of energy prices.

Dr. Bereskin has been active in a number of economics and transportation organizations including having been President of the Transportation Research Forum, a committee chair for the Transportation Research Board, and a nominee for the national board of directors of the National Association of Business Economists.

He has consulted with several corporations and the US Departments of Transportation and Energy. He has also testified before the US Surface Transportation Board.

As an accomplished researcher, he has had articles published in a number of transportation and economics journals.
