The Physics Department provides an environment with close student-faculty interaction where all students can develop wide-ranging knowledge and abilities of problem-formulating, problem-solving, experimental measurement and design, and use of computing resources in physics and engineering.
The Physics Department mission is to develop graduates with sufficient knowledge of physics, mathematical, and experimental skills to successfully pursue graduate education, perform competently in an industrial environment, adapt to changing work conditions, and teach competently in secondary education.
