student in class

The writing major is an explorative, investigative, and applied discipline, allowing for intellectual and creative growth.

The creative writing focus enables students to develop both their aesthetic sense and their ability to determine what is aesthetically valuable. They gain appreciation of writing as an art as well as the ability to create.

The professional dimension of the program equips writing majors with expertise and experience in various areas of organizational and technical writing. View the outline to graduate
