Learn from the best

Many faculty members in the Finance and Economics Department have real-world experience in business and finance. Whether it's working with venture capital or doing transactions in another country, they bring it all to the classroom.

Within the College of Business, we've recruited high-quality faculty who continually educate themselves, as well as clinical practitioners from regional and international businesses to ensure that you receive the most up-to-date prep in business practices, and help you "see around the corner" on developments in your field.

Are St. Ambrose graduates successful?

You bet. Many finance graduates have continued their education by pursuing higher degrees in economics or finance, and a number have gone to law school. They also currently work at Deere and Company, Caterpillar, Northwest Bank and Trust, and area professional basketball, baseball and hockey franchises.

In a recent report, 97 percent of SAU College of Business graduates were either employed full- or part-time, in graduate school, continuing their education, or weren't seeking employment at the time.

Paying for College

Students have the opportunity to compete for scholarships awarded by the university based on need or academic merit. Occasionally, there are scholarship opportunities specifically targeted to Economics and Finance majors. Contact Greg Bereskin, department chairperson, for more information.
