The League organizes events like dinner and movie nights, trips to museums and galleries, and art-themed parties.
The student organization includes a diverse, enthusiastic, and friendly group of both traditional and non-traditional students who are pursuing the Art History major or minor, as well as non-major/-minors who are simply considering taking more courses within the Art History program.
Laura Craft '10
At SAU, Lucy triple-majored in history, women and gender studies, and sociology and studied abroad at University of Hyderabad (India) and University of Botswana. After graduation she volunteered with the Peace Corps and then worked in the Philippines for Children, Youth, and Family Services. Currently she is a park ranger with the National Park Service at Lassen Volcanic National Park in Mineral, California.
Anna Turner-Scott '06, '09
Anna was a mother of two while taking classes toward a bachelor's in history and her Bachelor of Education. Today she works at Digital Pathways, an archival service contractor that serves the Rock Island Arsenal.
Kelsey Ward Marquard '09
Kelsey double-majored in history and political science. After graduation, she earned a scholarship to study law at the University of Iowa, a selective program ranked #27 in 2014 by U.S. News and World Report (Best Law Schools). After passing the bar exams in Iowa and Illinois, Kelsey is an attorney at Lane and Waterman, LLP, in Davenport.
Breanna Neubauer '12
Breanna earned her bachelor's degree with a triple-major in history, English, and philosophy. Today she is a documentation specialist at Baxter International, Inc., a health care company that develops, manufactures and markets medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.
