Internship experiences target specific areas and build enhanced skills, from ethical decision-making to participation in professional groups.
Class assignments focus on actual case studies. By discussing cases often based on personal experiences, students strengthen their connection with their schools and communities. Sample projects include organizing a family night at an alternative high school, redesigning the enrollment process for a school district and assuming a leadership role in school accreditation.
Students with diverse backgrounds broaden perspectives in the classroom. We enroll a number of international students, from as far as Uganda and Tanzania.
A summer class, Visioning and School Administration, focuses on school goals and developing a culture that allows schools to grow as professional learning communities.
