The Master of Education in Teaching program encourages teachers to grow as professionals, to remain life long learners, and to enrich their own lives and the lives of their students and the community by increasing their knowledge and skills through reflective practice. The program fosters professional integrity and encourages the mutual respect of learning communities.
The national pass rate for National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certification averages 50 percent. With thorough preparation and faculty support, the St. Ambrose Master of Education in Teaching program graduates have a pass rate of more than 80 percent. Our graduates who earn their National Board Certification join an elite group of less than three percent of teachers nationwide who are NBCTs.
