Financing a master's degree might seem daunting, but our students quickly learn that a St. Ambrose education can be affordable (and worth every penny).

Many local employers offer tuition assistance to their employees. Check with your Human Resources office to determine if these benefits are available.

2017-18 Tuition and Fees

Davenport – $840/credit hour
Cedar Rapids – $714/credit hour

Graduation fee: $35
Matriculation fee: $10
Graduation cap/gown/hood/tassel: $100 (approximate)
Technology fee: $140/semester (9+ credits); $70/semester (8 or fewer credits)

Tuition or a completed Tuition Payment Plan Agreement is due before your first class each semester.

Students select one of the following five options for paying tuition:

  • Cash, check, or money order - payable to St. Ambrose University
  • Credit card or E-Check - only available through Beeline
  • Tuition Payment Plan (to pay in installments) - enroll through Beeline
  • Corporate reimbursement - enroll for an employer deferred payment plan through Beeline
  • Financial aid deferment

Refund Policy

According to Federal guidelines, the MOL refund schedule is based on the number of classes attended between the beginning and ending dates of the course and the drop date.

  • 100% Refund – If student drops after attending one class session
  • 75% Refund – If student drops after attending two class sessions
  • 50% Refund – If student drops after attending three class sessions
  • 0% Refund – If student drops after attending four or more class sessions

Financial Aid

Graduate students enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three credits in the summer) are eligible to receive up to $20,500 (2017-18) per academic year in low-interest loans which are not based on income level. In order to determine eligibility, students must complete the FAFSA each year. St. Ambrose University's Title IV school code is 001889.
