The Master of Pastoral Theology program is designed to be completed in four years. It is a cohort program with classes offered in intensive format with one weekend meeting per month August through May. The weekend is a Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students must be prepared to complete significant reading and writing assignments between the monthly meetings.
The Master of Pastoral Theology degree includes 37 credit hours. This includes foundational areas of theology: biblical, moral, doctrinal, and spiritual and sacramental, and a thesis. If needed, students also take an Introduction to Scriptural Studies course prior to enrolling in any scripture courses.
