Katherine Van Blair, MS, MSW, PhD, LMFT

Dr. Van Blair came to  the School of Social work as a full time faculty member in 2001, and became Director in Summer 2008.

She is responsible for the administration of the School of Social Work and has taught across the social work curriculum at both the Concentration and Foundation levels. As a practicing marriage and family therapist since 1994, Dr. Van Blair maintains her private practice part-time, seeing individuals, couples and families around a variety of presenting issues.

Dr. Van Blair is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Council on Social Work Education, and a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she has served as a board member on organizations such as the Scott County Regional Authority and the Tanager Place Research Center.
