Some of our STAMVOJA singers

STAMVOJA (St. Ambrose Vocal Jazz Ensemble) is an unusual-sounding word for a sweet-sounding vocal group that has sung its way to popularity over the years. With an "astonishingly beautiful tone," STAMVOJA performs a wide range of music, including jazz and contemporary acappella music, often in original arrangements.

Established in 1998, STAMVOJA has compiled an impressive number of performances, including vocal jazz festivals, a variety of performances in schools and senior citizen residences as well as other community and alumni events, including Village in Bloom and performances at River Music Experience.

Rehearsal time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:05 to 4:20 p.m.
Location: Galvin Fine Arts Center, Madsen Hall

For more information, or to schedule a concert, contact Dr. Thea Engelson, director, at 563-333-6147.
