Paul Koch, PhD
Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs
Paul Koch began his career at St. Ambrose in 1988 as an assistant professor of psychology. Now a full professor, he has served in numerous roles including: department chair, director of General Education, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and associate vice president of Academic Affairs Assessment and Institutional Research. In his role as Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, Koch oversees the three academic colleges, Information Resources, Student Affairs, the Upward Bound program, and several other academics-related areas. He received his bachelor's degree from Morningside College and his master's and doctoral degrees from Iowa State University.
Susan Jameson began her career at St. Ambrose in 2008 after moving to the area from Sacramento, Calif., where she was a community magazine editor. Prior to taking the position in Academic and Student Affairs, she was an administrative assistant for the Graduate Education programs. Jameson has a long history of working in communications, as well as experience in management and community education. In her role as administrative assistant for Academic and Student Affairs, Jameson is secretary to the Promotion, Tenure and Standards committee; processes adjunct and overload contracts; and schedules the conference and board rooms in Ambrose Hall. She received her bachelor's degree from Eckerd College.
