The Promotion, Tenure, and Standards (PTS) committee conducts reviews of tenured faculty on a five year rotation. They also make recommendations to the president concerning new tenure status and promotions in rank for all faculty.

All full-time faculty are notified of their eligibility for tenure or promotion. Part-time faculty should apply for promotion when eligible based on the full-time equivalent status. Part-time faculty will NOT be notified when they are eligible for promotion.

In addition, the PTS committee reviews all tenure-track faculty on an annual basis and provides feedback based on the criteria in the Faculty Handbook.

For more information on the criteria the PTS uses to evaluate faculty, in the Faculty Handbook see section three for tenure-track faculty, section six for part-time and adjunct faculty, or section seven for clinical faculty.
