Why do you need to upgrade?

New students to the University are already using 2013 so it is time for us to join them and stay current with technology. The features you know and use are still there – along with some new ones that are huge time savers.

What are the benefits of Office 2013?

Improved 'Save As' and 'Open' - no more browsing and scrolling. Your most-used folders are right there from the start. You can also pin a location so it's always available.

Office 2013 is very similar to Office 2010 so you should only need minimal training on the upgrade.

Will upgrading affect the documents I created in earlier version of Office?

No. All of your older versions of Office will open Office 2013.

How will you get support?

CIDT and IT are gearing up to support the newer version across the campus and there will be a variety of training methods, quick reference manuals, video-based tutorials and classroom training. Watch your email for training dates/times or call Linda Eisenlauer x6496 for more information.
