The wellness division of the St. Ambrose Department of Campus Recreation is aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle choices by providing information, resources, and events for the student and faculty/staff community. The six dimensions of wellness (social, intellectual, emotional, physical, environmental, and spiritual) are integrated to create a well-rounded program to encourage individuals to grow and achieve their full potential.
Wellness is about balance. Because all of the dimensions of wellness are equally important, no single dimension should outweigh another. A truly well individual is confident in saying that he or she feels that each of the dimensions of wellness are being fulfilled. For everyone, wellness is a lifelong journey. The resources on this website can provide you with the information and guidance you need to feel comfortable in your own body and environment.
