Now that you are accepted and have a visa, it is time to make travel arrangements! You should plan to arrive on campus to attend International Student Orientation, settle into your new environment, and recover from jet lag.
If you are living on campus, please do not plan to arrive in Davenport before these dates. Your rooms are not guaranteed to be ready until the dates above.
Once travel arrangements are made, please email International Student Services with these details.
We will arrange for free airport pick-up if you fly into the Quad Cities. The Quad City International Airport (airport code MLI) is located in Moline, Illinois, approximately 20 minutes from campus. Send us the details of your arrival 2 weeks before you arrive so there is time to arrange pick up at the Quad City airport
If you prefer to fly into Chicago, there is a shuttle service that will bring you directly to campus, but this cost will need to be covered by you. Contact ACT II to make Chicago airport shuttle arrangements. Please be sure to mention that you need to be dropped off at St. Ambrose University.
Davenport is located south of Interstate 80, on the Iowa side of the Mississippi River. Driving to campus is quite straightforward. Our campus is located on Locust Street, which is the main east-west street crossing the city.
If you are able to drive to campus, you are welcome to park in any campus parking lot until classes begin. After the start of classes, you will need to purchase a student parking permit to park your car on campus. You will also be restricted to parking in student lots.

Don't forget:
The student visa only allows you to enter the US 30 days prior to the start of your academic program.
Remember to enter the US using your new F or J student visa with your I-20 or DS-2019.
