Bookmark and ShareAcademic Community For Incoming Students

The Academic Community sets out to select the most well rounded first year students who hold academia and community involvement at the highest priority. Students who are accepted into the Academic community are graded on a comprehensive 80 point scale.

The scale is based on the following criteria:
1. Those students that are accepted exemplify solid ACT scores and cumulative grade averages. In addition to academic success, students will be
2. Graded on their community involvement while in high school. Finally each student will have to submit
3. Written responses to several situational based essay questions.

The selection process as a whole aims to find those first year students who align their personal traits and study habits closest to the mission of St. Ambrose.
