Welcome to Rohlman! We are so excited to be here, and even more excited to have you here! With eight stellar staff members and over 200 incredible residents, we are confident that this is going to be a great year. Residents living in Rohlman are lucky to live in the center of campus and be part of an area that puts on some awesome programs like the annual Ambrose Idol and Rohlman barbecue. Second Floor, Rohlman Hall (by the bridge)
Matthew Hannon comes all the way from Davenport, Iowa, and is a business management major. He is very excited to come back to Residence Life as the Assistant Hall Director in Rohlman Hall. Matthew also works for the Maintenance department. When he's not in class, you can find him playing cards or swinging wrenches.
Nick Gentzler, First Floor RA
Nick is a junior from Marion, Iowa. He is majoring in marketing and management at St. Ambrose. Nick is involved in a lot of things: he runs track; participates in Marketing Club, CAB; and was on the Entertainment and Logistics Team for Dance Marathon last year. Nick is a die-hard Iowa fan. You will also find that he loves the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears. He loves hanging out with friends, playing sports, and just likes to have a good time. Nick comes from a family of six. He has two brothers and one sister. He is also an uncle to two beautiful nieces. Nick is really looking forward to being an RA at Rohlman. He was an RA at Franklin Hall last year and loved it, so he expects nothing less this year.
Kate Ross, First Floor RA
As a sophomore at St. Ambrose, Kate is extremely excited for her first year with Residence Life! She comes from a boisterous family of eight in Urbana, Ill. Kate studies hard for her nursing major and biology minor while staying involved in the Honors Program as well. Outside of the classroom, you can find her in the gym lifting weights, playing intramural volleyball, or going for a run! She enjoys photography, hanging out with friends and family, playing cards, and watching her favorite shows: The Office, Vampire Diaries, and The Bachelor! She is eager to get to know her girls in Rohlman and is looking forward to a fun-filled year!
Andrea Rivera, Second Floor RA
Andrea "Andie" Rivera is from Caguas, Puerto Rico. She is double majoring in theatre and radio & TV. She will be a junior this academic year. She is working at Hola America TV here in the Quad Cities which she co-hosts but will soon become the host for the show. She is very excited to be a part of the Res Life team this year, hopes to always be a helping hand, and to continue making lasting friendships.
Tyler Waugh,Third Floor RA
A Junior, from Woodhull, Ill., Tyler is looking forward to his first year in Residence Life! Tyler is majoring in American government education with an endorsement in history and a pre-law minor. He's looking forward to attending law school in the future as well. He currently has two years of collegiate football and Mock Trial under his belt. Tyler likes to spend most of his time being active with anything that could be challenging and fun. He may be a very competitive guy, but he's also very easy-going. With a subscription to Hulu Plus and Netflix you can tell he's highly interested in good films and television. When he isn't stuffing his face with good food, he also enjoys hanging out with friends and family!
Lindsey Gibney, Third Floor RA
Lindsey is very excited to be returning to Residence Life for her senior year! She is involved in a lot on campus including Campus Activity Board, Dance Marathon and Habitat for Humanity just to name a few. She spends most of her days in the Center for Health Sciences Education as a nursing major and also works in the resource room there. You can usually find her hanging out with her friends, singing, and drinking a Diet Coke, and she loves anything involving elephants and glitter.
Michael Knoll, Fourth Floor RA
A sophomore from from Melbourne, Australia, Michael is looking forward to his first year in Residence Life. Michael, a recruit on the varsity basketball team, enjoyed playing for St. Ambrose his freshman year and is excited for the upcoming season. Michael has also been involved in numerous campus activities such as Habitat for Humanity, intramural ping pong, and intramural floor hockey (to name a few). Michael is in the education program at St. Ambrose and hopes to teach secondary physical education and coach basketball once he graduates. Apart from sports and studying, Michael enjoys playing cards and board games, eating Whitey's ice-cream, and watching a good movie.
Ashley Nelson, Fourth Floor RA
Ashley is a senior at St. Ambrose and majoring in biology and psychology. She will go to optometry graduate school after completing her undergraduate studies. She grew up in Pekin, Ill. Ashley is on the varsity women's golf team and is the advocacy and athletic chairperson on SAU's St. Jude Up 'Til Dawn. She is also the secretary and treasurer for the Student Alumni Association and is a STAR member. When she is not in class, Ashley can be found working around campus, practicing golf, or playing intramural sports. She loves biking, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. This is her second year on the Residence Life staff and is looking forward to getting to know all of her residents!
