About Emily

After graduating from Loras College, I took a few years to earn my master's degree in Postsecondary Education in Student Affairs at the University of Northern Iowa. Upon earning my degree, I returned to the liberal arts college setting as a St. Ambrose Fighting Bee. Now I serve as the Career Advisor/Coordinator of Events and Marketing, a position in which I combine my passion for serving students with my passion for career development. In my free time I enjoy visiting my family, yoga, singing, and reading.

What I do at the Career Center

As the Career Advisor and Coordinator of Events and Marketing, I have the privilege to advise and coach students, staff, and alumni to reach their career goals. I meet with individuals and groups to work on résumés, interviewing skills, and cover letters.

Additionally, I work with students who are undecided on their major to help them to discover how they are called to serve the community and world.

Finally, I conduct career planning and job search-related classroom presentations, as well as oversee the logistics and marketing of Career Center events, e.g. Career Boot Camp, Health Sciences Fair.
