The SAUCC serves as the university's lab site for students enrolled in St. Ambrose's early childhood education which stress excellence in teaching and learning in an environment that fosters mutual trust.
The SAU Children's Campus also is a demonstration site for childcare centers and pre-schools in the Quad Cities.
Our curriculum supports children's independence, empathy for others, and creativity using developmentally appropriate practices.
In-depth explorations of topics based on children's interests provide the context for them to have a deeper understanding of themselves and their world.
In addition to honoring childhood, our curriculum and environment support four learning areas: knowledge, skills, disposition, and feelings.
