The College of Arts and Sciences houses over 100 faculty members within 16 undergraduate academic departments in these three areas: Fine and Performing Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

- The Fine and Performing Arts encourages the creation of artistic responses to the human experience. The disciplines included are Art, Music, and Theatre.
- The Social Sciences and Humanities area is concerned with people, values, and the human experience. Social Sciences uses both quantitative and qualitative methods in studying social and cultural dimensions of human experience. The disciplines include Criminal Justice and Sociology, Political Science, English, Modern Languages, History, Philosophy, Theology, and Women and Gender Studies.
- STEM areas include Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These areas focus on the use of quantitative methods for studying the natural world and include the programs of Biology, Chemistry, Computer and Information Sciences, Engineering and Physical Science, Mathematics, and Psychology.
