Other Important Dates

Monday, March 31
Deadline to apply for graduation. Students applying for graduation after the March 31st deadline will not be listed in the printed commencement program.

Monday, April 7
Grad Finale, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Rogalski Center Ballroom
Pick up your cap/gown and order announcements and other graduation memorabilia. Questions regarding the Grad Finale should be directed to the University Bookstore, 563/333-6336. Caps/gowns can be purchased from the Bookstore after this date. Go to the Bookstore website.

Thursday, May 1
Student Awards Night, 6 p.m., Rogalski Center Ballroom

Before May 1
Pay the $35 graduation fee to Student Accounts. This covers the cost of final degree audit, diploma, and diploma cover. Make sure all outstanding restrictions with the Library, Athletics Office, Student Accounts, Bookstore or Student Services have been paid.

Monday-Friday, May 5-9
Final examinations.

Thursday, May 8
5 p.m., Commencement Rehearsal, Galvin Fine Arts Center
Undergraduate student attendance at rehearsal is required if you are attending the Commencement Ceremony. If you have a class scheduled at this time attend the class as it has priority. Attendance for master degree candidates is optional. If you are not able to attend rehearsal, email Bill McAleer after May 6 so that instructions can be given to you.

Friday, May 9
Graduate Program Hooding Ceremonies, 5 p.m. The College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Health and Human Services will hold a joint hooding ceremony in the Galvin Fine Arts Center. The College of Business will hold its hooding ceremony in Christ the King Chapel. Immediately following the Hooding Ceremonies a reception for the College of Arts and Sciences and the College and Human Services will be held in the Rogalski Center and the College of Business reception will be held in Cosgrove Cafeteria.

8 p.m., Nursing Pinning Ceremony, Galvin Fine Arts Center

Saturday, May 10
9 a.m., Commencement Mass, Christ the King Chapel, all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

10 a.m., Brunch for graduates, families and guests in the Rogalski Center Ballroom. Tickets on sale now. Cost for brunch is $7.50/adult (age 13+); $4/child (age 6+); children under 6 years are free. Menu items include scrambled eggs, cheesy hash brown bake, French toast triangles, ham, pastries, fruit, coffee and assorted drinks. Purchase tickets online at Commencement Brunch or download form (pdf).

Prior to 11:45 a.m., Commencement Ceremony line-up. Enter through the employee entrance door on the south side of the i Wireless Center (directly beneath the skywalk). Follow the hallway to the check-in table. Professional staff will help you get in line.

1 p.m., Commencement Ceremony begins with the procession into the i Wireless Center.

Diplomas may be picked up on May 28, 2014, in the Records and Registration Office during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Diplomas not picked up by June 11, 2014, will be sent to the active address listed on the system. If you'd like your diploma mailed out before June 11, email Bill McAleer with the appropriate address. Please remember that diplomas will not be released until all restrictions have been cleared.
