

Commencement Ceremony
Saturday, May 11
9 a.m., Commencement Mass, Christ the King Chapel
10 a.m., Brunch for graduates, families and guests, Rogalski Center Ballroom
Prior to 11:45 a.m., Line Up
Enter through the Employee Entrance door on the south side of the i wireless Center (directly beneath the skywalk). Follow the hallway to the check-in table. Professional staff will help you get in line.
1 p.m., Commencement ceremony begins with the procession into the i wireless Center.
March 27
Deadline to apply for graduation
Students applying for graduation after the March 27th deadline will not be listed in the printed Commencement Program. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Tuesday, April 9
10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Grad Finale, Rogalski Center Ballroom
This event allows you to pick up your cap/gown and order announcements and other graduation memorabilia. Questions regarding the Grad Finale should be directed to the University Bookstore at (563) 333-6336. Caps/gowns can be purchased from the Bookstore after this date.
Thursday, May 2
Student Awards Night, Rogalski Center Ballroom
The purpose of the program is to honor award recipients. Awards are given for membership in honor societies as well as departmental awards. Students receiving awards will be notified by the Student Services Office. Contact Jason Richter for further information at (563) 333-6023.
Before May 3
Be sure that you have paid your $35 graduation fee to Student Accounts. This covers the cost of final degree audit, diploma, and diploma cover. Please make sure that you have cleared any outstanding restrictions that you may have with the Library, Athletics Office, Student Accounts, Bookstore, or Student Services.
May 6-10
Final Examinations for all students (Monday through Friday)
Thursday, May 9
5 p.m.
Commencement Rehearsal, Galvin Fine Arts Center
Undergraduate student attendance at rehearsal is required if you are going to attend the Commencement Ceremony. If you have a class scheduled at this time, please attend the class as it has top priority. Attendance for Master degree candidates is optional. If you are not able to attend rehearsal, please email McAleerWilliamJ@sau.edu after May 7th so that instructions can be given to you.
Friday, May 10
5 p.m. Graduate Program Hooding Ceremonies
The College of Arts/Sciences and College of Health and Human Services will hold a joint hooding ceremony in the Galvin Fine Arts Center. The College of Business will hold its own hooding ceremony in Christ the King Chapel.
**Any questions regarding the hooding ceremonies should be directed to your graduate program office. Reception immediately following in Rogalski Center Ballroom (COAS & CHHS) and Cosgrove Dining Hall(COB).
8 p.m.
Nursing Pinning Ceremony, Galvin Fine Arts Center
Beginning May 30
Diplomas may be picked up on May 30 in the Records and Registration Office during regular business hours (8:30 am to 4:00 pm).
Diplomas not picked up by June 13 will be sent to your permanent address listed in the system. If you'd like your diploma mailed out before June 13, email McAleerWilliamJ@sau.edu with the address to which it should be sent.
Please remember that diplomas will not be released until all restrictions have been cleared.
