Saturday, May 9
9 a.m., Mass, Christ the King Chapel
10 a.m., Brunch, Rogalski Center Ballroom. Ticket purchase information will be posted at a later date.
1 p.m., iWireless Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline, Ill.
Tuesday, March 3
10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Grad Finale, Rogalski Center Ballroom
Students may pick up their cap and gown, order announcements and other graduation memorabilia. Caps and gowns may be purchased from the Jostens website until March 23. Only a limited number of extras will be available after this day. Questions regarding Grad Finale should be directed to the University Bookstore, 563/333-6336.
Monday, March 30
Deadline to apply for graduation. Students applying after this deadline will not be listed in the printed Commencement Program, no exceptions.
Before April 30
Deadline to pay the $35 graduation fee to Student Accounts. This covers the cost of final degree audit, diploma, and diploma cover. Please make sure to clear any outstanding restrictions with the Library, Athletics Office, Student Accounts, Bookstore, or Student Services.
Thursday, April 30
6 p.m., Student Awards Night
Honoring award recipients. Awards are given for membership in honor societies as well as departmental awards. Students receiving awards will be notified by the Student Services Office. Contact Student Activities for further information at 563/333-6023.
Monday-Friday, May 4-8
Final exams for all students, Monday through Friday.
Thursday, May 7
5 p.m., Commencement Rehearsal, Galvin Fine Arts Center
Undergraduate student attendance at rehearsal is required if you are attending the Commencement Ceremony. If you have a class scheduled at this time attend the class as it has priority. Attendance for master degree candidates is optional. If you are not able to attend rehearsal, email Bill McAleer after May 6 so that instructions can be given to you.
Friday, May 8
Graduate Program Hooding Ceremony, 5 p.m., the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Health and Human Services will hold a joint hooding ceremony in the Galvin Fine Arts Center. Immediately following the Hooding Ceremony a reception for the College of Arts and Sciences and the College and Human Services will be held in the Rogalski Center
Graduate Program Hooding Ceremony, 5 p.m., the College of Business will hold its hooding ceremony in Christ the King Chapel. Immediately following the Hooding Ceremony a reception for the College of Business reception will be held in Cosgrove Cafeteria.
8 p.m., Nursing Pinning Ceremony, Galvin Fine Arts Center
Saturday, May 9
9 a.m., Commencement Mass, Christ the King Chapel, all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
10 -11:30 a.m., Brunch for graduates, families and guests in the Rogalski Center Ballroom. Cost for brunch is $8/adult (age 13+); $4/youth (age 6-12); children ages 5 and under are free. Menu items include scrambled eggs, cheesy hash brown bake, French toast triangles, ham, pastries, fruit, coffee and assorted drinks. Ticket purchase information will be posted at a later date.
Prior to 11:45 a.m., Commencement Ceremony line-up. Enter through the employee entrance door on the south side of the iWireless Center (directly beneath the skywalk). Follow the hallway to the check-in table. Professional staff will help you get in line.
1 p.m., Commencement Ceremony begins with the procession into the iWireless Center. Live streaming of the ceremony will be broadcast from the iWireless Center.
Diplomas may be picked up on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in the Records and Registration Office during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Diplomas not picked up by June 4, 2015, will be sent to the active address listed on the system. If you'd like your diploma mailed out before June 4, email Bill McAleer with the appropriate address. Please remember that diplomas will not be released until all restrictions have been cleared.
