TRANSFER FACTS

  • Students wishing to enter the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science major at SAU are encouraged to complete the course recommendations below within the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree at Black Hawk College.
  • Students transferring with an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree will be admitted to SAU with junior status and most general education courses completed.
  • Students electing to transfer without an AA or AS degree will have their transcript evaluated on a course-by-course basis.  These students are advised to follow SAU general education recommendations.
  • Students are advised to apply to SAU one year in advance of the term they wish to transfer.
  • Once an application has been submitted to SAU, a transcript should be sent from BHC to the SAU Admissions Office after each term completed. A maximum of 64 semester hours may be transferred from community colleges toward the 120 hours required for a bachelor's degree from SAU.
