Peer Mentor Program

Do you know a student who is struggling with adjusting to college life at SAU? Take a look at the Peer Mentor Program and consider making a referral. The 32 trained and supported peer mentors of varying ages and majors are waiting for a potential mentee!

At St. Ambrose University, it is our goal to help students have a smooth transition into college life. Common struggles students may have, but are not limited to, include the following:

• Extreme Homesickness
• Trouble balancing academics/college Life
• Meeting Friends
• Making Connections to SAU

The St. Ambrose University Peer Mentor Program was created to allow students to help their peers with these specific issues. The Peer Mentor Program is facilitated and managed by three staff members: Jason Richter of Student Activities, Steve Tendall of Counseling, and Amy Scott of Counseling.
