Through individual and collaborative efforts, Student Activities is dedicated to the appreciation and understanding of community through social, cultural, leadership development, and co-curricular opportunities that enrich the lives of students.
It's been said that college is more than just going to class. With over 40 student clubs and organizations to choose from, there is a way for students (traditional and non-traditional) to get involved. Getting involved is a great way to hone those leadership skills, build your résumé or even make friends you'll have for life. St. Ambrose students contribute to their communities (campus, local, regional, national and international) proudly.
Rooted in the rich Catholic Christian Tradition and ecumenically centered in the reconciling Love of God, the mission of Campus Ministry at St. Ambrose University is to build a welcoming community of Faith Learning Justice by praying, seeking wisdom, and committing our gifts in leadership and service. Campus Ministry is here to serve our students in their faith lives and to assist them in the service of others.
Service is at the core of being an Ambrosian. It is important to St. Ambrose Univeristy, as part of our mission and our identity as a Catholic, diocesan university which is grounded in Catholic Social Teaching.
Is it true that Ambrosians bleed blue and white? Perhaps not, but traditions run strong through the heart of this university, and those who have worn the colors as students carry that spirit of faith, learning, and justice with them throughout their lives.
It's often been said that SAU has the best college housing in the Midwest (at least that's what everyone says when they go on a campus tour). And we're proud of that, because we think it's also a testament to the efforts that everyone – from faculty and staff, to students and alumni – puts in to make your student's Ambrose experience the very best.
Dining on campus provides the social experience essential to campus life. It gives your student the opportunity to gather with friends (you have to check out the renovated Beehive in Cosgrove!), take study breaks, hang out, relax, and unwind after a hard day of classes and activities.
