The Pell Grant is a federal grant awarded to the highest need students. You must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) figure calculated by the FAFSA must be in the range set by the Department of Education each year. The Pell Grant amount you receive will be prorated based on your EFC.
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) is a federal grant. There are very limited funds available to St. Ambrose to award out to students. The Insitution has set criteria that a student must meet in order to be eligible.
Because funds are limited, they are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis to students who have a completed financial aid file. This means that you have turned in all of the documents that we may require for your file and that your file has undergone a complete review.
If you are eligible for either a Pell Grant or SEOG, the awards will appear on your financial aid award letter.
