Dr. Kronfeld has worked in higher education for 15 years, 14 of those at St. Ambrose University. During this time, she has worked to recruit for and market graduate programs. She is also a partner in the recruitment of international and veteran/military students.

Dr. Kronfeld is an active member of many university committees and work groups such as Strategic Planning, Graduate Council, Graduate Council Executive Committee, including co-chairing the University's Strategic Enrollment Planning process.

Dr. Kronfeld's research focuses on enrollment management and the decision-making process of prospective higher education students. Her dissertation (2013), The influence of distal family background and proximal family status on the occurrence and timing of post-baccalaureate enrollment, considered the timing and factors that influence one's enrollment in graduate school. A manuscript of this work is in progress for publication in tier one higher education journals.
