St. Ambrose University does not require proof of health insurance for domestic students. For students who are uninsured or under-insured, health insurance is available through Consolidated Health Plans (underwritten by Nationwide Life Insurance Company). Full-time, enrolled, domestic students (including intercollegiate athletes) taking 6 or more credits and graduate students also may enroll. Keep in mind that by law, most students will be covered until age 26 under their parents' health insurance plans.
All international students are automatically enrolled in the insurance plan and the premium charged to the student's account. International students may download the flyer here (pdf).
Please note: certain academic programs have coverage requirements to participate in off-site learning experiences in schools, clinics, and hospitals.
