DIRECTOR - MASTER OF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT PROGRAM
St. Ambrose University invites applications for the position of director of its newly developing Master of Physician Assistant (PA) program. We seek an enthusiastic individual who is interested in developing this program in collaboration with our natural sciences and health sciences programs. This new program will reside in the College of Health and Human Services which currently serves over 1200 students preparing for careers in education, health care, and human services including accredited programs in nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, education, and social work.
The director of the PA program will be responsible for overall leadership of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, its faculty and students. Securing provisional accreditation, recruitment of qualified faculty, curriculum development, and establishing clinical sites are among the important initial roles for this position. Responsibilities also include overseeing student recruitment and admission processes, teaching in areas of expertise, advising and mentoring students, serving on department and university committees, engaging in research and mentoring faculty scholarship, and ensuring ongoing program evaluation.
The director must be a physician assistant or physician. Qualified physician assistant applicants must have graduated from an accredited PA program, hold current NCCPA certification and an earned master's degree from a PA program or related field, and be eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa. Qualified physician applicants must be eligible to hold a license as an allopathic or osteopathic physician in Iowa, be certified by an approved ABMS or AOA specialty board, and have prior clinical and academic experience. The ideal applicant will also have at least five years of experience preferably in an academic faculty position, a record of scholarship, and an earned doctorate.

ART - PAINTING & DRAWING - ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
The Art Department of St. Ambrose University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2012. Qualifications include: an M.F.A.; active exhibition record; and knowledge of contemporary theory and practice. At least two years college-level teaching beyond a T.A. is preferred. Area of expertise should lie in Painting and include a strong Drawing background. Teaching load is four courses per semester, which include all levels of undergraduate painting and drawing as well as History and Theory of Contemporary Art. Foundation and General Education courses are also part of this position. The successful applicant will be able to teach conceptual, technical, and historical aspects of painting/drawing, and have an interest in and ability with figuration. ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - TENURE TRACK

DIRECTOR, SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
St. Ambrose University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month tenure-track position as Director of School of Education (SOE). The School of Education includes 1) the state- and TEAC/CAEP-accredited undergraduate Teacher Education Program (TEP) including 13 full-time faculty and 3 administrative assistants serving over 300 majors in early childhood, elementary, and secondary education as well as Children's Campus, an early education learning site, and 2) graduate programs including the Master of Education in Educational Administration, the Master of Education in Teaching, and the Graduate Certificate in Post-Secondary Disabilities. Responsibilities: Articulation of and advocacy for the mission and goals of the SOE, administrative coordination of the SOE including budgeting and hiring, oversight of course scheduling, assessment, licensure, and accreditation, the teaching of two courses per year, and student advising. Educational Leadership - Part-time Instructor - Loras/St. Ambrose Consortium

St. Ambrose University has an immediate opening for two part-time instructors for the Loras/St. Ambrose Consortium for Educational Leadership (LSACEL). The consortium, represents a collaborative agreement between Loras College http://www.loras.edu/explore/ and St. Ambrose University (http://www.sau.edu/About_SAU/Mission_and_Vision.html), both Catholic institutions located in eastern Iowa along the banks of the Mississippi River. Offering professional programs grounded in the liberal arts, both schools are dedicated to the development and dignity of the individual student.
The LSACEL program, one of only five Iowa programs awarding a master's degree and approved by the Iowa State Board of Education to deliver a program leading to endorsement as a PK-12 school administrator, supervisor of special education, and level I evaluator, seeks two faculty members with assignments covering the Dubuque and Cedar Rapids geographic areas.  MUSIC - PIANO ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Full-time, tenure track position in Piano at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2012. We seek a teaching artist with demonstrated experience as a studio and classroom instructor who is collaborative, dynamic and creative. Responsibilities include teaching applied lessons, class piano and directing the keyboard area, as well as courses in secondary areas, such as history, musicianship, theory and the liberal arts core. The successful candidate will also have an active performance schedule, be involved in professional organizations and participate in departmental retention and recruitment activities. A doctoral degree in piano is preferred (ABD considered). Our performing instrument is a recently acquired 2010 Yamaha 9' Disklavier Concert Grand Piano. NURSING FACULTY - TENURE TRACK
