GRADUATE STUDENT ASSISTANT POSITION OPENINGS FOR FALL 2017 - SPRING 2018

We are now accepting formal applications for Graduate Student Assistants for the fall 2017 & spring 2018 semesters. Some of these positions offer a monthly stipend and tuition remission of up to 12 credit hours per calendar year, and others are stipend only.  Interested candidates are encouraged to submit application materials ASAP to receive the highest consideration.  ATHLETICS:
Baseballl Graduate Assistant Coach
Qualifications
1. Earned Bachelor's degree (prior to starting date).
2. Currently enrolled SAU graduate students: Proof of 2017 SAU Registration required. Prospective SAU graduate students: Officially applied to SAU graduate program for fall semester 2017. Eventual acceptance into graduate program required.
3. Previous baseball coaching experience preferred, collegiate baseball playing experience required. Assist the head coach in the day-to-day operations of a nationally competitive intercollegiate program, team travel, summer camps, public relations, film review, study halls and other administrative duties as assigned. Involves team travel and some overnight and weekend trips.
4. Strong public relations, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work in a team oriented atmosphere, including strong supervisory skills.
6. Strong computer skills, especially in a Windows setting and with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)

Basketball (Women's) Graduate Assistant Coach
Qualifications
1. Earned Bachelor's degree (prior to starting date).

2. Currently enrolled SAU graduate students: Proof of 2017 SAU Registration required Prospective SAU graduate students: Officially applied to SAU graduate program for fall semester 2017. Eventual acceptance into graduate program required.
3. Previous swim coaching experience preferred. Collegiate Swimming experience required. Assist the head coach in the day-to-day operations of a nationally competitive intercollegiate program, team travel, summer camps and clinics, public relations, recruiting, study halls and other administrative duties as assigned.  Required team travel. Some overnight, and weekend trips.
4. Strong public relations, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work in a team oriented atmosphere, including strong supervisory skills.
6. First Aid, CPR and Lifeguard Training Required.
7. Strong computer skills, especially in a Windows setting and with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel). Hytek, Team / Meet Manager Experience preferred, though not required.

CAMPUS RECREATION  - BEGINNING SPRING 2018
Qualifications
1. Earned Bachelor's degree.
2. Currently enrolled SAU graduate students: Proof of SAU Registration required.
Prospective SAU graduate students: Officially applied to SAU graduate program. Eventual acceptance into graduate program required.
3. Previous experience in campus recreation preferred; other related experience will be considered.
4. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere; is a self-starter, including strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong computer skills, especially in a Windows setting and with Microsoft Office suite

ENROLLMENT TECHNOLOGY/ADMISSIONS OPERATIONS - 1 (one) Graduate General Assistant starting Fall 2017
Qualifications
1. Earned Bachelor's degree (prior to starting date).
2. Currently enrolled SAU graduate students: Proof of SAU Registration required. Prospective SAU graduate students: Officially applied to SAU graduate program. Eventual acceptance into graduate program required.
3. Strong analytical, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work 20 hours per week in 4 hour blocks preferred
6. Strong computer skills, especially in a Windows setting and with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), with emphasis on Excel. Colleague and Recruiter knowledge is a plus.

FINANCIAL AID
Qualifications
1. Earned Bachelor's degree (prior to starting date).

4. Previous experience in records office preferred; other related experience will be considered.
5. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
6. Ability to work in a team oriented atmosphere.
7. Strong computer skills, especially in a Windows setting and with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) Ellucian knowledge is a plus.
