If you are looking for a great place to continue your American education, with educators that value student contact and a campus community that is excited to learn from international students, then you've found the right place!

Transferring to St. Ambrose is a simple process, either at the undergraduate or graduate levels. Follow these steps below to begin your St. Ambrose experience!

Admissions Deadlines

For undergraduate transfer students, admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. Of course, the sooner you apply the better, so that you can begin to plan your course schedule and your move!

For graduate transfer students, individual graduate programs may set admission deadline dates. If no date is set, then applications are also reviewed on a rolling basis.

Send us your application materials:

  1. Application, for either undergraduate or graduate students.
  2. A copy of your transcripts from your current college or university. If you are transferring from a college or university outside the United States, you may have to have your transcripts evaluated by an external agency.
  3. TOEFL or IELTS test results. Please visit the English Language Proficiency Requirements page for current test scores.
  4. Copy of your passport photo page and immigration documents, including your US visa, both sides of your I-94, and your current I-20
  5. Declaration of Finances Form
  6. Bank Statement (Government-sponsored students should submit a letter of support from their sponsoring agency instead of a bank statement.)

-->For graduate students, see any further requirements of the graduate programs

Additional Information

Copies of materials can be used for an admission decision, but originals must be received in order to get an I-20.

Applicants who submit a completed application packet with originals and a bank statement can be issued an I-20 within two weeks of receipt of the materials by St. Ambrose University admissions staff.
