Peer Mentoring
PURPOSE:
The Student Mentor Program is designed to help and encourage new students to reach their academic
and personal goals while adjusting to a new environment. Student mentors welcome and facilitate the
transition of new international students to the St. Ambrose community.
This program builds a relationship between a returning student (mentor) and a new student (mentee).
Mentors are expected to support and encourage mentees by sharing their knowledge and experience as
returning students, therefore helping the academic, social, emotional, spiritual and socio-cultural
adjustment of the mentees.
