"Everyone is really good at looking after each other."

In her own words

What have you learned about yourself at St. Ambrose?

Being here has really affirmed my decision to go into PT and, mainly because of their enthusiasm, the professors played a big role. I spent a lot of time looking at programs and was impressed with everything St. Ambrose had to offer.

What does St. Ambrose offer that is essential to your field of study?

The amount of clinical experience we get and personal attention we have available to us from the faculty are important. A lot of programs elsewhere do not offer as much time to apply what you are learning and to hone your skills.

What was your favorite class?

So far, it has been Functional Anatomy. It was really fun taking what we were learning every week and applying it to actual people instead of thinking about it from a textbook.

What do you do for fun in the Quad Cities?

I love all the trails there are around. I like running and biking. They have nice trails and parks, and it's nice being by the river.

What will you tell your children about your college experience?

The program is tough, but I am so glad I made the decision to come here because it really feels like a family and everyone is really good at looking after each other.
