MEI Coordinator Ryan Dye leads the institute. He joined the history faculty in 2000, and has served as the director of international education since 2007.
He helps lead an international education management team, manages the university's international education strategic planning process, and oversees exchange agreements with international institutions of higher education. His research and teaching interests include the modern Middle East, modern British and Irish history, and Colonial American history. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame, and his doctorate from Northwestern University.
