
The chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), and the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Tom Frieden, toured the university's Center for Health Sciences Education on August 11.
"It is a fantastic new facility," Harkin writes in his blog, "and will help make St. Ambrose a leader in training the next generation of health professionals, which our country greatly needs."
