Rolled out this fall, the Mechanical Engineering program is the only program in the Quad Cities and one of only three in Iowa. With this new offering from the Engineering and Physics Department, St. Ambrose is preparing to become a direct competitor in that field with other public, Midwestern universities.
Research-engaged undergrads are evaluating various effects on physical balance, developing a virtual and robotic model of a hand—and finding turtles.
Area youngsters created and raced cars of their own designs—and explored the field of engineering.
