An Afternoon of Chemistry Fun

National Chemistry Week is October 21-27, 2012. There will be an afternoon of chemistry fun for children in grades 1-6. This event presents kids with the opportunity to participate in interesting hands-on activities involving nanotechnology. 

We will also present a dazzling chemical demonstration show. Each student will receive a bag of goodies, including a newspaper of science activities to complete at home. 

Reservations are required and space is limited to 40 children.

Cost: Event is free.

Required reservation information includes the child's name, age or grade, adult's name, and phone number. You will receive confirmation from Jean Hess that your child has been enrolled. Because space is limited, if you realize that your child will not be able to attend the afternoon event, please contact Jean again and cancel your child's reservation.

Please bring your child to Lewis Hall 001 no ealier than 12:45 and no later than 1 pm. Your child may be picked up from this same room at 3 pm. The children will participate in hands-on activities and then shortly after 2:30 pm, a chemical demonstration show will be given. 

Each participant will leave with a bag of goodies, including a newspaper of science activities to do at home.
