Social Work Conference: A Contribution to the Critique of Social Justice in America

Join us as we explore the dynamics of social injustice in the United States and its consequences for social work professionals through various historical, religious, political-economic and practical factors.

Cost: $20; free for current SAU MSW students and field supervisors. Cost includes CEUs.

  • Articulate the religious and social underpinnings that have given rise to and support a growing economic imbalance in the United States.
  • Gain an enriched understanding of the meaning of social justice by developing competence in the knowledge of the capability theory and how it compares and contrasts with several other key theories of social justice.
  • Increase awareness about unjust governmental and corporate practices and policies that perpetuate political, economic and social inequality in the U.S. and around the world.
