Ryan Dye, PhD, Director of International Education and Professor of History and Sandy McKinley, PhD, Associate Professor of History, will speak about how Europe has a long history of racism, focused primarily against its Jewish population. From the 1960's, European racists turned their anger toward immigrants entering Europe from its former colonies. Since the 9/11 attacks and the 2008 global economic crisis, the European radical right has declared that "Europe is under siege" from Muslim immigrants who are taking European jobs and erasing Europe's traditional ethnic and religious identities.

Sponsored by the Center for International Education and the Department of History.

The Rogalski Center is located on the corner of Ripley and Lombard Streets, one block west of Harrison Street.
