Why SAU?: I transferred in because it was close to home. The small classrooms are the most positive part of St. Ambrose. Having transferred from a school of 30,000 undergrads to Ambrose, the changes were seen right away. The teachers care about your academic career and will work with you to accomplish all of your goals.
Favorite SAU Experience: Performing in front of over a thousand people in the finals of KCATCF last year in the Irene Acting Scholarship Competition. It was the most nervous I've ever been on stage, and frankly don't remember if the words I said came out right, or were the right words. It was terribly nerve wracking, but at the same time one of the most rewarding events of my life.
Dream Job: Playwright, screenwriter, novelist, all the while teaching dramatic and literary criticism at the college level.
Favorite Actor/Actress: Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon
Advice for Freshmen and Transfer Students: Discover what you're best at. I came in just wanting to act, but the opportunities are there to do virtually anything within the theatre world. Explore.
After Graduation: Trying to find work in writing or editing. Working on plays and short stories. Then going back to school Fall 2012.
