Professor emeritus Michael Kennedy '60 is keeping busy in the theatre by working with local theatre company The Curtainbox, doing voice-over work for advertisements and performing acting in the Circa '12 Dinner Playhouse production of Nana's Naughty Knickers as the mean landlord!
This show is an intriguing farce about a seemingly sweet nana who has an illegal boutique selling handmade naughty knickers to senior citizens.
"The set is a tricked out apartment," says Kennedy, "and the physical comedy and fast-paced dialogue will keep you on the edge of your seat."
Nana's Naughty Knickers is playing through Sept. 24 and Kennedy hopes you get the chance to come out and see it!
Mark Sept. 16 in your calendars to attend this production because half of that night's proceeds will go to the Michael Kennedy Theatre Scholarship.
The Michael Kennedy Theatre Scholarship is a one-time award given each year to a new SAU theatre major. Applicants for this award should be a new student who wants to pursue a theatre degree and has a strong desire to work hard while having fun in all aspects of the theatre. Recipients are selected based on dedication to their art, sense of humor, strong work ethic, and willingness to cooperate in team settings and try something new.
