As the countdown begins and the first performance date is looming down upon the stage, the cast members of Touch they are fervently working away in the Studio Theater at St. Ambrose University.
Val Zawada '13, the student director of the Studio Theatre's first show of the year, is busy blocking, re-blocking, and getting in-sync with her astronomical and philosophical side. As the actors get in "touch" with their characters and learn who they are, Zawada is working long, hard hours to get the show ready for opening night, September 8 at 7:30 pm in the Studio Theater.
"I chose this show because the minute I read it I knew it was going to be a wonderful journey for me; the content of the show was inspiring and different then what I have done before. I can easily identify with the characters, and I was simply inspired," Zawada says." I thought it would be a really great show for the studio." Zawada said that this show is "a testament to the vulnerability and strength of being a human."
Touch will be performed in the Studio Theatre of the Galvin Fine Arts Center, Thursday, September 8; Friday, September 9 at 7:30pm; and Saturday, September 10 at 3 pm. Tickets are $6, and there is limited seating so get your tickets now.
