Recent research conducted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) suggests obtaining a bachelor's degree will help secure your future employment. According to the 2011 NACE survey, the majority of responding employers (80 percent) planned to hire candidates who had a bachelor's degree, only 19.1 percent were planning on hiring candidates with an associate's degree. We have found that students who have obtained a degree from the ACCEL program have been very successful in obtaining employment or advancing in their existing career after graduation.
The St. Ambrose Career Center welcomes the opportunity to assist you as you work toward your degree. Our services include: career counseling, résumé and cover letter critiques, job search strategies and resources, assistance in applying to graduate school, and interviewing advice. If you are currently employed, our career counselors can assist you in developing strategies to help you advance in your current job or make a career change.
We hope to see you soon during our office hours at ACCEL. Contact Jen Aplington at 563/441-9500 to schedule an appointment.
