For the second year in a row, St. Ambrose University received a grant from the Health and Human Services Department to fund the education of students enrolled in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and social work.
The University as a whole received $408,404 with over $164,000 going to physical therapy students. St. Ambrose University received this funding because of the high percentage of our graduates who work in underserved communities upon graduation. Students who come from medically underserved communities or disadvantaged backgrounds themselves were awarded the grant money to help cover tuition expenses.
This grant has truly made a difference in our students' lives by helping reduce the financial burden of graduate education.
